From donating through our monthly Nick’s Giving Pizza to championing future Olympians with our Nick’s Oval Bursary, we’re proud to be part of this vibrant community. Since 2021, Nick’s Giving Pizza has been our way of giving back to the community that has supported us for over four decades. Every month, we select a local charity or organization in Calgary that is making a difference, and we pair them with one of our specialty pizzas. For every pizza sold during that month (dine-in, pick-up, or delivery), we donate $5 to the chosen charity. This initiative allows us to showcase the incredible work being done in our city and help support it financially. It’s a delicious way to give back. In loving memory of Tim Petros, Nick’s eldest son, whom we lost too soon in March 2020, the Tim Petros Running Back Award was established by his wife and children to honor his legacy. Tim’s passion for football and his deep ability to connect with people inspired this annual award for University of Calgary running back football players. This scholarship celebrates not only Tim’s athletic achievements but also his profound impact on those around him, both on and off the field. Each year, the award recognizes athletes who embody Tim’s spirit, dedication, and love for the game. We invite you to join us in supporting this meaningful tribute.

Nick’s Oval Bursary
Since 2005, Nick’s Oval Bursary has supported young speed skaters training at Calgary’s Olympic Oval. Over the years, we’ve provided over $200,000 to help athletes with their training costs, and three bursary recipients recently competed in the 2022 Winter Olympics. We’re passionate about fostering athletic talent in Calgary, and this bursary is our way of contributing to the dreams of future Olympians.

YYC Pizza Week
Nick’s Steakhouse has been a proud participant in YYC Pizza Week since 2019. This 10-day event is all about pizza, community, and charity. Each year, local restaurants craft an original pizza recipe, competing for top honors, with proceeds supporting Calgary Meals on Wheels. Over the years, we’ve won multiple awards for our pizzas, including Best Thick Crust, Most Popular Pizza, and the Baker Award. Although we’re currently on hiatus from the competition, we look forward to returning soon!
